Payment & Billing Policy

Review how catalog checkout, project invoices, subscriptions, taxes, failed payments, and refunds are handled.

Effective October 1, 2026 · Review the agreement and order-specific scope that apply to your engagement.

01

Prices, currencies, and quote approval

Catalog prices are displayed in the currency shown, generally US dollars (USD). A listed price, starting amount, or range is not a final quote for work outside its stated scope. Before custom work begins, approve the written scope, fees, billing schedule, currency, assumptions, and any known third-party costs. The amount displayed in the secure checkout or accepted proposal is the amount to review before payment.

Prices may change prospectively. A changed catalog price does not alter an order already accepted, except for a documented scope change, renewal terms disclosed at checkout, correction of an obvious error where permitted by law, or a signed amendment.

02

Taxes and additional costs

The checkout currently calculates a tax line using a configured 15% rate and displays it before payment. Tax rules vary by product, service, customer location, and jurisdiction; the displayed estimate may require review for a particular transaction. Contact us before payment if you need a tax invoice, exemption review, or billing correction. Any additional tax, duty, or governmental charge legally imposed on the customer will be handled as stated on the accepted order and invoice.

Third-party subscriptions, hosting, domains, transaction fees, travel, or licenses are not included unless the accepted scope says they are. We will disclose known pass-through costs before you approve them. Do not rely on a verbal estimate where a written checkout or signed quote is available.

03

Online payments and payment providers

For supported fixed-price online purchases, card and wallet payments are handled through Stripe-hosted checkout. Payment information entered on the provider’s hosted page is processed under that provider’s terms and privacy notice. Emposola receives payment status and transaction references needed to manage the order; we do not store full card numbers, CVCs, or card expiry dates in the website database.

Some custom work may use an invoice or another written payment method agreed in the proposal. Verify payment instructions using a known contact channel if you receive an unexpected change. We will not request a complete card number or security code by email, chat, or phone.

04

When an order is accepted and payment is due

Submitting a cart or request is not acceptance of custom work. An order is accepted when Emposola confirms it or provides a successful payment link for an eligible catalog purchase. Project deposits, milestone invoices, due dates, and delivery dependencies are stated in the relevant scope or invoice.

Do not authorize a payment until you have reviewed the item, scope, renewal interval, subtotal, tax line, discount, and total. Keep the order confirmation and receipt. Contact us if the confirmation differs from what you approved.

05

Recurring billing and cancellation

Where an item is a subscription, checkout identifies the recurring period and amount. By completing checkout, you authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method at the displayed interval until the subscription is cancelled or ends under its terms. Introductory or first-purchase discounts apply only as explicitly displayed; future renewals use the stated regular price unless a written agreement says otherwise.

To stop a renewal, contact emposola@emposola.com before the next billing date and use any subscription-management controls provided by the payment processor. We will confirm the effective date. Cancellation prevents future renewals after the effective date but does not automatically refund a period already billed or services already supplied, subject to the Return Policy and applicable law.

06

Failed, delayed, or disputed payments

If a payment fails, is delayed, or appears duplicated, contact us with the order number and payment reference. We may pause undelivered work or recurring access after reasonable notice for overdue undisputed amounts, subject to the accepted agreement and applicable law. We will not represent a pending payment as completed until the payment provider confirms it.

If you believe a charge is unauthorized, notify your bank or card issuer and tell us promptly. We may provide relevant order, delivery, and correspondence records to the payment provider to investigate a dispute. Nothing in this policy removes rights provided by your card issuer or applicable law.

07

Receipts, invoices, and records

For online payments, a receipt or order confirmation is provided to the email address submitted at checkout. Project invoices follow the schedule in the approved scope. Contact us promptly to correct an invoice or billing detail. We retain limited transaction records for accounting, security, chargeback handling, and legal compliance even if an account is deleted.

08

Refunds and payment security

Refund requests are handled under our Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy and any specific written order terms. Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method where practical; provider or bank posting times are outside our control.

We use hosted payment processing and access controls intended to protect transactions. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep credentials private, sign out of shared devices, and report suspicious requests to emposola@emposola.com before making a payment.
